What did Great Britain do to stop the holocaust?

The Nuremberg Trials took place after the war had ended, so how could they have affected the Holocaust? You may not have noticed, but Great Britain was quite busy enough, thank you, in trying to survive between 1939 and 1945. British troops couldn't really have marched into German-occupied countries and said, "Look here, you chaps, you're not treating these people properly." I think that you have been given an impossible subject to argue. But I wish you the best of luck with it.
