I had this dream a few years back that I've always remembered?

I was laying on one of the local beaches I go to during the summer. It was really hot out and I begin to notice that the skin above my right rib cage is itching. I start to scratch at it and the skin kind of gives way, opens up and a flower starts to come out. It's not painful or anything but I remember in my dream I was shocked. I tugged on the flower and it easily came out, stem and all. The closest I can compare the flower to is a whitish grey Lotus flower. A few seconds after I pulled the flower out it wilts and dies. Does anyone have an idea what this could possibly mean, I'm curious.
