Are you an adult who had an absent father as a child?

i think it is strange. i have never even met my dad. i guess he was a horrible husband and parent, and was into bad things. but it never bothered me, because my grandpa raise me like he was my dad, and was wonderful. but i am married and am 8 months pregnant with our first baby we tried for. i think she has phycological effects, but i would be careful talking to her because it seems like she shuts people out. doesnt she have any friends who are happily married and have children? maybe she needs to see some examples. blessings
